Your Crucial Guide to Keeping Your Shower Doors Sparkly Clean

If you have a shower in your bathroom, then for sure you want to enjoy it for years and years to come. After all, a shower has many advantages it's a handy, quick way to get ready for the day and it's a great way of relaxing once the working day has passed and evening comes along. Making sure your shower lasts for a long time does take a little bit of work, however. Showers are naturally dark and damp places, and without the proper upkeep they can deteriorate quickly. It may take a little bit of time and discipline, but the truth is that there are some very simple things you can do to make sure your shower stays in top condition for a long time.

Consider your cleaning products


There's nothing wrong with using the commercial cleaning agents that you can find in your local supermarket , they are usually highly effective and don't have to cost too much. On the other hand, you should be careful if you are not sure; if you have never used that'specific cleansing product before, then check the label and make sure they don't contain any abrasive chemicals that may damage your shower cubicles and shower doors. If you doubt your current cleaning product, there are plenty of homemade solutions you can make. A paste of baking soda and water will work well with stains, and vinegar or lemon juice works wonders to get rid of mildew and mineral deposits.

Spraying the doors after a shower

Do this right after you have taken a shower  or if you haven't, use warm water. The warm water will help remove dirt and mineral deposits. Spray your solution and rub the stains or dirt off. Rinse well. It's important to make sure your shower dries well to avoid mould and mildew buildup afterwards. Ventilation is key.

Keeping the doors clean consistently

To make sure it's easy to clean in the future, coat your doors with rain-repellant. Squeegee your doors regularly after showers. Again, remember ventilation.

You may think that it's too much trouble  in fact, it really isn't. When it comes to your cleaning products, once you have decided which one works best, it's easy to make a larger quantity and have it handily stored away somewhere. And of course, the routine of spraying the doors could be a simple routine that you easily get used to, something that is conveniently written into your schedule. It's just a matter of routine; a little bit of attention on a regular basis goes a long way, and it will ensure years and years of shower enjoyment to come.
